    Description
    Research, document, and apply IFRS Accounting Principles related to the company's operations including the application of standards to new transactions
    Coordinate across regions to ensure process and reporting alignment
    Review regulatory reporting of financial information for accuracy and compliance
    Prepare IFRS Financial Statements for all company entities as required for reporting to banks, investors, and/or tax authorities. This includes consolidations within North American entities, where applicable
    Assist with the completion of financial statement audits for all company legal entities in scope
    Act as an Accounting liaison amongst internal functions for new transactions
    ·

    Review legal agreements and evaluate transactions for accounting applications
    ·

    Prepare journal entries related to investments, cost allocations, debt, and recharges for quarterly closing
    Support tax requests for quarterly and year end filings
    Responsible for intercompany balance reporting and reconciliations with other regions to ensure eliminations are accurate for closing
    Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist with flux analysis at quarter ends
    Coordinate year-end financial packs, organizing the preparation of notes across the Accounting team
    Establish relationships with the business and other key stakeholders to keep apprised of new transactions and communicate significant information within the team
    ·

    Support group initiatives to improve the overall accounting and reporting process

    Required and Preferred Qualifications:
    ·

    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and CPA certified
    ·

    7+ years of overall accounting experience with at least 4+ years Big 4 public accounting
    ·

    Experience in the Energy industry with financial acumen to discuss transactions with the business
    ·

    Experience with financial statements preparation and consolidations
    ·

    Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
    ·

    Works well both independently and within a team environment
    ·

    Ability to learn quickly and adapt and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    ·

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and exhibit an attention to detail and "big picture"
    ·

    Knowledgeable of IFRS; able to research, document, and apply relevant accounting standards
