- Handles laboratory data collection systems and equipment to ensure proper ordering, cancellation, and billing of laboratory tests for inpatients, outpatients, and institutional accounts.
- Conducts specimen collection procedures for both inpatients and outpatients.
- Performs non-technical specimen processing, preparation, and distribution.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of clinical training in an approved phlebotomy program, or a two-year degree in a related scientific or healthcare field, or two years of relevant experience.
- Valid Phlebotomy Certification.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Proficiency in accurate specimen handling and clerical procedures.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Color vision acuity.
- Must pass Color-Acuity screening test.
- Knowledge of medical laboratory terminology.
- Proficiency in computer systems and design.
- Strong public relations and service delivery skills.
