    Job Title: Business / Data Analyst

    Job Location: Remote

    Work Hours: Mon - Fri 9 am - 5 pm CST

    Department: Sales and Business Development
    Reports to: Sales And Business Development Manager

    SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE

    As a Business/Data Analyst, you will be a key player in our data-driven decision-making process, helping to uncover valuable insights and drive improvements across our organization. Your work will have a significant impact on our business processes, strategy development, and overall success.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Data Collection: Gather data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external data providers.
    • Data Cleaning and Preparation: Clean, transform, and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    • Data Modeling: Develop data models, visualizations, and dashboards to present complex data in a user-friendly format.
    • Data Interpretation: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that provide valuable insights.
    • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for data analysis and reporting.
    • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency, and automation through data analysis.
    • Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and outcomes.
    • Data Reporting: Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and visualizations to convey data-driven insights to stakeholders.
    • Data Documentation: Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analysis results for transparency and reproducibility.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
    • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing data quality checks and validation processes.
    • Data Governance: Implement and adhere to data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
    • Analytics Tools: Utilize data analytics tools and software, such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, or business intelligence platforms.
    • Database Management: Manage and query databases to extract and manipulate data as needed.
    • Data Security: Ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) in data handling and reporting.
    REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a related role, typically ranging from 7 to 10 years.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python, R).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills for effectively conveying complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and business intelligence concepts.
    • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Business acumen and the ability to connect data analysis to business strategy and objectives.
    • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance practices.
