    Executive Director of the Master of Real Estate Development Program
    University of California Los Angeles

    The Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) Program at the UCLA Luskin School is seeking an innovative and collaborative inaugural Executive Director (Academic Administrator V) who will directly report to the Faculty Director.

    Primary responsibilities include:

  • Supervising MRED staff and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program.
  • Managing student enrollment, placement, and curriculum enhancements.
  • Analyzing data to drive ongoing improvements in the MRED program.
  • Collaborating with academic program offices and campus partners to elevate student services and activities.
  • Engaging in outreach initiatives to attract exceptional students to the MRED program.
  • Cultivating and expanding relationships to enhance involvement with key stakeholders, such as industry partners and alumni.
  • Representing the program at industry events to maintain a strong presence in relevant associations and conferences.
  • Teaching a MRED course and coordinating the program's capstone course sequence.
  • Facilitating activities related to the capstone course and fostering communication with industry partners.
  • Actively seeking and fostering donor relationships, including with the program's Founders Circle.
  • Organizing meaningful stewardship opportunities for donors, such as dinners, receptions, and talks.
  • Promoting collaborative learning and innovation among students, faculty, Founders Circle members, industry partners, and the community.

    Qualifications

    The minimum requirement for this role is a degree in real estate development, business, urban planning, or a relevant field. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience and a strong history of interaction with academic and industry associates. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
