THE POSITION:


Are you interested in joining a highly motivated team focused on examining financial non-depository institutions within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania? Join us at the Department of Banking and Securities as a Non-Deposit and Securities Compliance Examiner 1.

This position will provide you the opportunity to ensure compliance with established laws, regulations and sound management practices. Take this next step in your professional journey.


DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


This is beginning level professional work in the examination of a variety of non-depository institutions within the commonwealth ensuring compliance with all applicable federal laws and regulations including the Loan Interest and Protection Law.

Work includes preparing examination reports based on findings.

You will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of formal and on-the-job training assignments, attend basic examining or training seminars and study training materials to develop competency and skill in examining the records, operations and procedures of non-depository licensees.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday
  • Friday, with 60minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by nine credits in accounting, finance, economics, or a closely related field;
    or:
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes nine college credits in accounting, finance, economics, or a closely related field.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credit.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Real ID or Passport required for travel.

Other Requirements:


  • This particular position requires you to have a valid driver's license.
