- Maintain regular and prompt attendance; physically present to work.
- Performs after hours work as required (nights and weekends)
- Assist with emergency response as needed by city hall and local EOC.
- Responsible for gathering and preparing documents for documentation.
- Assists other staff members in completing their respective assigned duties.
- Prepares documents packages for Commissioners meetings.
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and one (1) year of related work experience to perform such job.
- Applicant must pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen at City's expense.
- Applicant must have current valid Class "C" Driver's License and be insurable.
- Must successfully complete Emergency Management and Incident Command Training.
- Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.
- Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and standard office and accounting equipment.
- Skill in the utilization of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel applications to present and format information/data into meaningful reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in detail with accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidential and/or sensitive information, accurate records, and files related to personnel and organizational needs.
- Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and the general public.
- Maintain excellent customer service during stressful situations.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills in managing competing priorities and critical deadlines.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional walking, standing, and stooping.
- Occasional lifting, moving, or positioning objects up to 30lbs.
