Shift:

Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year round position)


Every day as an RBT you will:


  • Ensure the safety and supervision of the children
  • Work with children on a 1
:
1 basis in a school environment

  • Provide interventions to children with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and speech and language disabilities
  • Deescalate and mitigate behaviors using positive behavior interventions and supports
    (PBIS)

Center for Autism Research and Educational Services (CARES), located in Downingtown, PA is seeking Instructional Support Specialists to provide direct behavioral intervention to student.

We offer an environment that is supportive, educational and clinically focused. This position will give you the opportunity to work directly with children diagnosed with Autism 1:
1 within a structured classroom environment with Special Education Teachers, Behavior Analyst and Autism professionals.

You will increase your knowledge and improve your skills related to behavior intervention, functional assessment and collaboration with a team that is inclusive and individualized.

CARES serves up to 60 children, ages 5 through 21, with a confirmed primary diagnosis of Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD/NOS).

Qualifications:


EDUCATION:

Requires a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)


EXPERIENCE:

At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents preferred.
