SUMMARY
The Operations Training & Development Specialist will collaborate with key stakeholders to design and implement training programs to identify gaps in existing processes and develop targeted solutions as needed.
The incumbent will be responsible for the creation of on-the-job technical training for manufacturing areas, deliver interactive training sessions and design training activities for adult learners.
This position will also maintain employee curriculum and learning plans per job function or position.The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, technical writing skills and industry experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally maintenance, repair, and overhaul functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Program Development:
Works with production personnel to review technical documentation, job tasks and current practices to determine training needs and program content.
Curriculum Development:
Create comprehensive training materials, including hands on assessments, manuals, videos, and presentations.
Skill Assessments:
Directs and instructs trainees during activities to evaluate the skills and competencies of employees while identifying possible areas of opportunity.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that training programs follow WGPW EHS standards and procedures as outlined in EHS program and the employee handbook.
Continuous Improvement:
Continuously improve training methods and content to enhance the employee experience.
Performance Tracking:
Monitor and report on the progress and effectiveness of training programs.
Technical Expertise:
Stay updated on industry advancements and share this knowledge with the team through ongoing training sessions.

Excellent communication
skills, ability to present theory and concepts, as well as hands-on technical instruction with clarity, confidence, and enthusiasm.
LMS, training design and delivery experience.
Proactive, confident, tenacious, resilient, flexible, and strong service orientation.
Relevant experience working in manufacturing setting ideally maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
