:The role of the Education Coach is to provide training, assessment, leadership, consultation, targeted support and professional development of the educational frameworks and teaching practices provided to children and families; in accordance with local, state, federal and Children's Paradise requirements.
Maintain educational mastery across all age groups (birth-school-age) to support Site Director and staff with maintenance of high-quality educational environment and individualized curriculum implementation.
Bring the fun and ensure teachers are joyously playing with childrenEducation Practices:
- Conduct ERS and CLASS reviews, in collaboration with the Site Director and use data to drive coaching, instruction and training plans.
- Support Site Director with monthly Education monitoring, assisting with T&TAs, training, and follow up as needed.
- Train and support on indoor and outdoor classroom environments, ensure they are following CP standards for organization, aesthetics, innovation and educational instruction (Tier 5)
- Oversee the sharing of educational information with parents thru visual displays
Parent Boards, Education Boards and Evidence of Learning Boards.
- Ensure familiarity with CA Preschool Learning Foundations and train staff according to the foundations and frameworks.
- Proficient use of Creative Curriculum and support teaching staff with mastery of the tool.
- Train and ensure teachers understand how to use DRDP to create individual goals and activities.
- Support with the educational requirements of NAEYC Accreditation at all applicable sites.
Coaching:
- Plan and implement trainings at CP semiannual inservices based on results of the Program Self-Evaluation (PSE) and identified needs.
- Observe individual /teachers/classrooms and create training goals based off observations.
- Document coaching case notes in our identified data system.
- Open intensive coaching cases (Practice Based Coaching
PBC) for any staff needing a higher level of targeted support and training.
- Develop and lead Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and facilitate/ lead large group workshops.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
- BA in Child Development/Early Childhood Education or related field Or education and experience/alternative certification that shows proficiency in educational and teaching practices.
- Child Development Teacher Permit or higher
- Experience with leading and supervising a team (1 year or more)
