The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies including video to increase brand awareness, engage audiences, and drive traffic to grow followers on all digital platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Linked).

You will manage multiple social media accounts, create compelling content, monitor performance metrics, and interact with followers to enhance the company and its related business' online presence.

The position will also monitor and work to increase ratings on Yelp and Google.

This position is part of a larger marketing department where coordination and collaboration of other creative elements and/or advertising must overlap to maintain brand consistency.

Support of other marketing projects, outside of social media may needed from time to time.

This position will gather content from multiple North County locations while based from the company's offsite marketing department in Cardiff By The Sea.


Social Media

  • Develop and manage strategic social media plan and content calendar for multiple business lines and their associated social media accounts.
  • Visit locations (by car) weekly for inspiring creative content, exploration, and idea generation.
  • Create and edit daily shorts and weekly feature videos to produce engaging content that increases followers. Script writing, story board and editing expertise will be instrumental in developing videos telling compelling stories and engaging audiences.
  • Incorporate advertising for monthly or daily specials, enrollment, employee recruitment, recognition, corporate participation, and other significant company news into social media postings.
  • Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, and promptly respond to inquiries or engage with followers.
  • Engage daily by commenting and liking other influential industry or community channels on behalf of the company. or engage with followers.
  • Write short stories and design employee newsletter, parent newsletter, advertisements and other announcements through Constant Contact while building database for distribution. Content to be leverage in social media.
  • Assist in maintaining video, photo, and document imagery library for social media content needs, media broll, presentations, meetings, etc. Work with the marketing team to approve these assets for usage.
  • Create Children's Paradise videos and library for future training, messaging, advertising, and social media. Support outside video production company to maintain brand and track projects.
  • Craft website blog for SEO then promote on social media channels with goal of increasing website visitors.
  • Analyze performance metrics and insights to optimize content and strategies for maximum reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, social media best practices, and emerging platforms, and incorporate relevant trends into content and strategies.
  • Conduct annual competitor analysis to identify opportunities and trends in the social media landscape.
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance tracking.
  • Support other electronic communication advertising platforms, as needed.
  • Actively participates in marketing department strategy discussions and collaborates with a crossfunctional team of graphic designers, copywriters, social media, and photographers/videographers, in the strategic development of advertising, messages and deliverables.
  • Assist in maintaining the Children's Paradise website. As new website is created, support design and development. Assist website development company with website changes.

Skills

  • Energetic selfstarter, who can initiate tasks and project under mínimal supervision, exercising discretion and best judgement.
  • Solid understanding of video editing software (e.g. Adobe Express, CapCut) and related postproduction processes.
  • Ability to encourage and motivate others on video.
  • Knowledge of best practices using Reels, Stories, Live, etc
  • Keen and creative eye, looking at entire scene including background, light, dress to ensure professional outputs.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment where priorities can change at a moment's notice.
  • Must be able to multitask, keep organized and manage deadlines.
  • Ready to learn, engage in other online and customer review systems such as Uber Delivery, DoorDash and Grubhub.
  • Early education, hospitality or restaurant industry, a plus.

Requirements:

Minimum requirements:

BA or MA in marketing, media production, videography, communications, or a related field.


A minimum 2 years' experience or 100 shorts or feature videos posted on single social media platform over the last year.
