    Description

    VCA Eye Clinic for Animals is seeking a board certified or board-eligible Ophthalmologist to join our specialty referral practice located in beautiful San Diego, CA, right next to VCA ASG.

    Our staff is available to offer you and your pet the most professional and compassionate care. With on site surgery and diagnostic facilities, state-of the art science meets caring and excellent medical application. It is our mission to offer you confidence and assurance throughout your pet's time with us.

    Our specialty is the diagnosis and treatment of the eye and nearby structures in all animal species. Our expertise includes a broad range of treatments for a broad range of conditions, across many types of animals.

    Among the more common treatments we provide are:

    • Various procedures for ocular injuries or emergencies
    • Cryosurgery for abnormal eyelashes
    • Laser surgery to prevent retinal detachments for various other ocular conditions
    • Laser surgery for glaucoma
    • Eyelid surgery for cosmetic and/or conformational problems
    • Corneal and conjunctival surgery for ulcers, injuries, or other conditions
    • Cataract surgery with artificial lens placement
    • Intraocular lens implantation
    • Laser treatment of glaucoma and other conditions

    We offer Internal Medicine, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology and Surgery Specialties as well as Emergency and Critical Care services.

    We would expect any Specialist joining the team to participate in their education and hopefully also become a mentor for future growth and development.

    Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $300,000. This position is also eligible for production/commission and other variable pay programs.
