Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our team.

As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting one ophthalmologist in providing high-quality eye care to our patients.

Your responsibilities will include performing various diagnostic tests, preparing patients for examinations, and maintaining accurate medical records.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct preliminary patient screenings, including documenting medical history
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and refraction
  • Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures
  • Administer eye medications as directed by the physician
  • Educate patients on proper eye care
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate medical records

Skills:


  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
  • Strong knowledge of ophthalmology procedures and terminology
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate and professional demeanor
  • Ability to perform basic diagnostic tests, such as measuring visual acuity and taking intraocular pressure readings; experience with OCT and topography a plus
We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.


Pay:
$ $28.00 per hour
