    Contract role for the System Administration Team to Support, Manage, Maintain, and Update Cameras and Milestone servers.

    Location: Client located in Boulder CO.

    Hybrid or Remote role? Determining if fully remote or Hybrid. In past contracts, remote was possible, if candidates were available for

    Contract Position: Contract through 12/31/2024.

    Compensation: Unsure of hourly rate.

    Additional Information: Candidates must be able to work as w2 employee without sponsorship and be able to pass Fingerprinting background check.

    Position Summary

    Systems Administrator/Contractor position responsible for the maintenance, operation, and planning of enterprise Milestone Camera and Axis Camera technical systems. Responsible for leading capacity planning, functional and technical design of Milestone/Axis Camera enterprise systems, and resolution of complex problems. Oversees testing, implementation, maintenance, documentation, and development of operation and maintenance procedures.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Good Knowledge of Milestone Camera systems and Axis Cameras
    • Installation of all operating systems, including new releases and upgrades.
    • Manages system patching; including security updates and patching to maintain a secure computing environment.
    • Monitors, tunes, diagnose, and resolve operating system problems.
    • Develops and maintains a backup/recovery strategy for all operating system software.
    • Configures and defines system resources such as SAN & NAS disc space, printers, and tape libraries.
    • Utilizes administrative subsystems to schedule system tasks.
    • Reviews new software to determine its compatibility with existing software and systems.
    • Evaluates and recommends to management complex software products, systems and tools as to their application to computer systems, and plans for their inclusion into system operation.
    • Diagnoses and resolves software and hardware problems.
    • Organizes and prepares technical documentation for complex software products, components and tools.
    • Ensures user data is protected from unauthorized access, usage, or disclosure.
    • Interfaces with internal organizations in software upgrades and implementation of new software products.
    • Performs related work as required.
    • Ability to work with management, other employees, other departments, agencies, vendors and the public.
