Duties:


  • You will serve as the Group Deputy Accountable Property Officer (DAPO) and conduct audits of property and equipment.
  • You will be responsible for communication with group employees on all Property Management related notifications and actions.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating with NAWCAD Property Management team with the process of managing equipment and material for the group.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining database of labs and facilities to ensure standardized procedures are maximized across the group.
  • You will provide advice to managers on property/facility management and security matters.
  • You will serve as the Group Security Coordinator and acts as a group liaison with the NAWCAD Security Team.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with security and safety inspections of all group facilities and laboratories.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:


  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.


Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting audits of property and equipment; 2) Coordinating security and safety inspections of a property or facility; 3) Advising managers on property management and security matters; 4) Assisting personnel with inquiries, visit requests, and ensuring proper security processes are in place; 5) Performing fact finding and investigative procedures in order to collect data, summarize findings and make recommendations related to property and facility management; and 6) Utilizing computer generated data sources and output tools to gather and analyze data, develop recommendations, and present findings.- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
