- The EE is responsible for all aspects of the electrical system. Responsibility for ensuring the site meets all relevant company and statutory requirements. Systems design and auditing will be a key part of the job.
- The EE works very closely with both the Production Team and Technical Team to ensure reliability and continuous improvement of the electrical system takes place. The economic impact of plant availability is high. Although the operating and maintenance technicians do not report directly to the EE, they will receive much of their guidance from this position.
- The EE will manage all site minor projects, using on- and off-site resources to provide multi-disciplined designs. Control and monitoring of project costs will an important element of the role and there is potential to achieve significant savings. The individual will also be responsible for the construction of these projects: the construction supervisor will respond to the EE.
- At least 5 years as an EE Engineer in a petrochemical environment
- Maintenance and testing of safety shutdown systems

The EE will be the main source of technical expertise for all levels of the organization of Instrument/Electrical issues.
The plant is computer controlled, it has 1,300 instruments, with over 50 nuclear sources. All instruments operate in high hazard and corrosive environment.
The site receives electrical power at 138kV and distributes at 13.8kV, with some 2.4kV motors. The annual power consumption is about 5MVA
