    Contracts Specialist, Mid

    The Opportunity:

    As a contracts management professional, you're eager to support both sides of the acquisition and contracts lifecycle in your clients' missions. We're looking for someone like you to be a liaison with the government. Bring your passion to support research and development, prototyping, and software development pre-award contract processes, and help shape the future capabilities that defend our nation.

    On our team, you'll manage pre-award contract administration for the program office, analyze requirements and support the drafting of acquisition documentation such as Acquisition Plans, Acquisition Strategies, Justification and Approvals, Statements of Work, and Contract Line-Item Number structures. You will also help advise on appropriate acquisition types for the requirement to include using a C-type contract, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, and Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs). You will also advise on emergent contractual issues, and track pending and active contract actions. You will be responsible for the safe storage and handling of sensitive documents. You'll grow your acquisition expertise regarding all statutory, regulatory, and policy updates impacting each project's success. From working with your team to building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders to obtaining concurrence, you'll work to deliver meaningful contract support.

    You Have:

    • 3+ years of experience in DoD contract management or DoD contract administration
    • Experience in navigating and using the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations System (DFARS)
    • Knowledge of DoD contract concepts and contract acquisition law and regulations
    • Ability to use independent judgment and creativity to resolve contractual issues
    • Secret clearance
    • HS diploma or GED

    Nice If You Have:

    • Experience as a Contracting Officer or Contract Spe cialist
    • Experience with supporting the Navy or NAVSEA Program Office
    • Experience with Cost-Reimbursement, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, and Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs)
    • Experience in Agile or software development contracts
    • Ability to independently draft all pre-award documentation for a Request for Proposal package
    • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) Certification

    Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106, annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
