- Develop, implement, and evaluate vision and strategy promoting healthy community action throughout UAlbany in alignment with the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion and international best practices.
- Contribute to the leadership team within the Office of Health Promotion and support the growth of the work of the entire team throughout the UAlbany community.
- Serve on the Steering Committee of the Well-Being Collective, which is tasked with implementing the Okanagan Charter, and provide administrative leadership of various working groups.
- Collaborate with members of the Well-Being Collective to develop and implement assessment and evaluation strategies related to implementing the Okanagan Charter.
- Support campus partners in developing Key Performance Indicators related to the Okanagan Charter, and serve as the central hub of data generation, storage, and analysis for all health-related evaluation and assessment efforts.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the Spring Health Survey each year. Collaborate with various schools and departments in the survey design and dissemination and meaning making of results.
- Drive mixed methods assessment of campus health and related experiences for the University.
- Design, implement, and evaluate iterative and participatory structures of data collection and analysis on campus.
- Develop infrastructure to make campus health data more accessible to students, faculty, and staff in a timely manner.
- Support data-based decision-making within the Office of Health Promotion, the Well-Being Cluster, Student Affairs, and the Institution more broadly.
- Engage in systems-level advocacy: provide consultative services to individuals, offices, departments, and other various groups at UAlbany to assess capacity to support and promote well-being, including systematic needs assessment, iterative and participatory meaning-making of data, and development, implementation, and evaluation of multi-level strategy to advance priorities identified from the needs assessment work.
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate workshops and trainings to enhance capacity and facilitate health equity throughout all levels of the institution.
- Convene campus stakeholders to evaluate identified policies for health equity, using data and analysis to drive appropriate collaborative action.
- Contribute actively to efforts promoting well-being as a campus-wide initiative, including participating in workgroups, collaborating across departments, and providing training to faculty and staff.
- Develop, update, and maintain webpages related to the Well-Being Collective.
- Consult with internal and external partners on matters related to strategy for data collection and analysis.
- Maintain strong relationships and liaise with Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness (IRPE)
- Facilitate trainings, workshops, and conversations with students, faculty, and staff as appropriate.
- Build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
- Master's degree in a relevant area from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting agency plus two years of related work experience

Assistant Director:
Healthy Community Action within the new Office of Health Promotion, which is part of the Well-Being Cluster of Student Affairs.
The University is proud to be part of the first cohort of institutions in the United States to adopt the Okanagan Charter, and this new office has been tasked with leadership in guiding the implementation of the Charter as it builds a foundation for health promotion at the institution using public health approaches and a salutogenic lens.
The incumbent in this position will have a unique opportunity to help craft an institutional vision and strategy for health promotion while providing leadership within the institutional efforts to implement the Okanagan Charter.
