I am a registered occupational therapist with fieldwork experience in outpatient and inpatient clinical settings.I am dedicated to improving the lives of individuals by promoting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.With a passion for health care and helping others, I am committed to developing the necessary skills to become a knowledgeable and compassionate occupational therapist.
Throughout my studies, I have gained valuable experience in areas such as patient assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.I am eager to continue my learning and grow as a health care professional. Level IIB Occupational Therapy Fieldwork Student, January 2023 - March 2023
- Evaluated, treated, and discharged approximately 50 patients and reported in weekly meetings to discuss each patient's status and anticipated discharge date.
- Designed and presented an inservice presentation at end of fieldwork to about 14 staff members about binasal occlusion and diplopia. Also created a vision home exercise program for patients and a lower extremity amputation treatment idea handout for future students.
- Monitored 50 patient's vital signs and physiological responses to OT treatment sessions, adjusted patient's treatment sessions accordingly, and communicated findings to supervisor and other team members.
- Performed and scored various assessments such as vision assessments, goniometry, manual muscle testing, 9-Hole Peg Test, Brief interview for mental status, ADL care tool evaluation and more.
- Created and assisted supervisor with fabrication of approximately 3 custom splints to improve patient's quality of life.
- Directed activities of daily living and Instrumental activities of daily living therapeutic exercises, activities, neuromuscular reeducation and various other interventions.
