Job SummaryThe Department of Social Sciences at Albany State University is seeking applicants for an Instructor of Mass Communications. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and advisement, service to the university, and scholarship. Responsibilities include teaching both introductory and advanced level courses, in face-to-face and online environments. Instructors will teach 30 credit hours on an annual ten-month contract with benefits, and will conduct academic research, perform other duties such as committee work and student advisement.
Required QualificationsA Master's degree is required
The ideal candidate is a ¿generalist¿ who can teach across a broad spectrum of mass communication areas, including media research and theories, media writings, public relations, emerging media, Web and graphics, etc.
Proposed SalarySalary range is from $46,400 to $55,000
