    Job Description


    The Events and Marketing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the success of a wide range of events and marketing initiatives, to include supporting the community relations & events strategy of Hilltop Holdings and its subsidiary companies, as well as supporting the marketing & communications team.

    Responsibilities

    Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
    Must be able to commute to Hilltop Plaza @ 6565 Hillcrest, Dallas, without the need for relocation assistance
    Coordinates small to large-scale internal employee events, trade shows, and external community-based events, making recommendations to leadership where necessary
    Manages the online company stores and oversees custom promotional item orders
    Collaborates with the Marketing & Communications team and other departments across the company to develop and execute deliverables in support of corporate meetings and events
    Coordinates tickets and attendance for offsite events, including sponsorships, company events, and entertainment, and oversees management of C-suite executive requests
    Collaborates with the Director of Community Relations and Corporate Events to track and report on corporate giving and sponsorships, as well as volunteer-related initiatives
    Performs corporate charitable contribution fulfillment activities including creation of contribution letters, tracking reports, conducting reconciliations, and oversight and maintenance of the community involvement software, Kadince
    Manages other departmental responsibilities and administrative activities as needed, such as expense reporting, invoicing, supplies purchasing, and marketing initiatives
    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree required
    2 to 3 years of professional experience required in event management or a related field; non-profit sector experience a plus
    Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively across various lines of business and proactively cultivate relationships with a diverse range of internal and external partners
    Excellent PC skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook required, experience with a community involvement software a plus
    Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects to achieve specified goals and outcomes, with in-depth knowledge of project management principles
    Strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational and time management skills
    Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
    Ability to work independently on multiple projects with limited supervision
    Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours to support company needs, not to exceed 15% of the time, including some nights and weekends to support events schedules
    Ability to promote a positive image of the company and represent the company's interests
