Lockheed Martin is looking for a senior level Propulsion Engineer to continue our 75 year tradition of developing new air-vehicle systems.

This position will support the Propulsion competency. Responsibilities may involve advanced weapons system integration, installed propulsion performance, propulsion system modeling and propulsion system installation. The candidate will expect to be working extensively with other Aeronautics engineering disciplines and propulsion system companies. Travel in support of the program efforts may also be required. Good communication skills and strong interpersonal and presentation skills are highly desirable. Specific experience with propulsion integration, sustainment, supplier management, or oil-based lubrication/cooling systems is highly desirable.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires a DoD security clearance.

This position will be located in Marietta, GA

Engineering Aeronautics

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor or Masters degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or equivalent Engineering discipline
Experience with mechanical design

Desired Skills:

Experience with turbomachinerybased lubrication systems
Prior operational or maintenance experience of inservice Propulsion systems
Prior experience working Propulsionrelated sustainment activities
Experience with a drawing release process.
Prior experience responding to and executing Engineering Change Requests (CR's)
Experience with Catia v5 and/or CADAM (CCD).
Experience with component and systemlevel qualification testing.
Prior experience with turboshaft or turboprop Propulsion systems
Prior Engineering experience with turbomachinery
Experience supporting proposal development or generating Basis of Estimates (BoE's)

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Remote Telework:

The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
