    Title: Part-Time Volunteer Selection Specialist

    Department: Product

    Employment Type: Part-Time, Temporary, Non-Exempt

    Duration: Seasonal from April August 2024 with the potential to continue from September January 2025

    Hours: 15-25 hours per week, flexible daily schedule with majority of hours worked during regular business hours, Monday through Friday

    Location: Remote from one of our current Braven operating states: GA, CA, IL, DE, MA, NY, NJ, DC, OH

    Compensation: $25 per hour

    About the Role

    Braven is seeking Volunteer Selection Specialists to interview applicants for volunteer roles and make recommendations on whether or not to accept them as volunteers. The Volunteer Selection Specialists will play a critical role in ensuring that our volunteers have the skill-sets and experience to successfully facilitate, mentor, coach, support and build community with a cohort of 5-8 Fellows (college students) weekly throughout an entire semester.

    What You'll Do

    • Become fully knowledgeable with Braven's Leadership Coach volunteer program, requirements and each Braven region's volunteer profile
    • Use Braven's Interview Guide to take notes and interview Leadership Coach volunteer applicants
    • Make post-interview selection recommendations (accept, reject, waitlist; etc.) to each Braven region for final decision
    • Update Salesforce records and ensure data accuracy
    • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

    • At least 2 years of experience with hiring, interviewing and/or recruiting

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
    • Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential, sensitive information with absolute discretion
    • Familiarity of and comfort with Salesforce
    • Familiarity of and comfort with Zoom virtual meetings
    • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion
    • Exemplification of Braven's core values
    • Experience that has informed your belief in Braven's mission and has prepared you to work with, or for, Braven's student Fellow population

    Work Demands

    • Some evening and weekend work required

    Compensation

    This is a part-time temporary, non-exempt, position paid at an hourly rate of $25 per hour. The anticipated hours per week for this role are 15-25 hours per week.
