- Bachelor's degree in Learning and Development, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or related field or 3-5 years' experience in learning content design for adults
- Instructional design experience designing creative learning experiences across instructor-led, virtual, E-learning modalities is a plus
- Knowledge of ADDIE, SAM, or similar instructional design methodology
- A practicing Catholic with a deep love for the Catholic Church and an understanding of the structures within the church
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, teamwork, collaboration, flexibility.

- Experience in evaluation or impact measurement design
- Ability to reduce informational complexity to clear, succinct, and concise steps
- Experience with remote learning technologies and communication tools or the ability to quickly learn new technology
- Working knowledge in e-learning development. Authoring software and cataloging software such as InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, SharePoint, Microsoft, and HTML a plus; able to (or learn to) edit videos, graphics, and images.
- An eye for visual design, a knack for creating great user experiences, and an overall passion for providing the best experience for training participants - ensuring maximum learning retention and having fun while doing it
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products as well as InDesign or other desktop publishing/graphics software

Summary: The Content and Learning Manager will play a critical role in designing and developing extraordinary learning experiences that enlighten, educate, and help grow bishops, priests, religious, and lay people. The Content and Learning Manager will align materials with the vision of the Catholic Leadership Institute, as translated through the VP of Innovation, by partnering with subject matter experts and internal and external stakeholders. The Content and Learning Manager will use current learning solutions, expertise in adult learning, and instructional design training to create exceptional experiences for end users. The Content and Learning Manager will design and catalog iterations of training materials, oversee the design process of new and revised materials, and implement processes for assessing the effectiveness of training. A high level of collaboration with the Learning Experience Designer, the communications team, the project management team, and others will be necessary. The Content and Learning Manager will also be asked to create new processes and procedures to improve the management and flow of content and feedback to and from the service delivery team. This position may require some travel to the Malvern, PA office for team meetings 4-7 times per year.

Stakeholder Engagement
•Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clergy, educators, community leaders, and volunteers, to gather input, solicit feedback, and ensure the relevance and cultural sensitivity of educational materials and initiatives.
•Engage with internal peers in the collaborative design and development or updating of all course materials and related projects
•Coordinate with internal staff to develop facilitator training
Learning Strategy
•Collaborate with key stakeholders to define learning objectives and develop strategies to achieve them effectively. Utilize innovative pedagogical approaches and best practices in instructional design.
•Clarify or establish instructional problems and instructional goals and objectives, clarify or identify the learning environment and existing knowledge and skills of learners
•Systematically define specific learning objectives, assessment instruments, exercises, content, subject matter analyses, lesson plans and media selections
•Design learning activities, assignments, and assessments
•Assess training and development needs with leaders and participants (through analysis, surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc)
•Engage with internal peers in the collaborative design and development/updating of all course materials and related projects
Project Management
•Apply project management principles to full life-cycle of learning experience design, from need identification through content updates to existing learning experiences
•Create and manage processes and procedures that increase clarity and efficiency of workflow for service delivery and centralization and standardization of content.
•Drive summative evaluation process including use of tests designed for domain specific criterion-related referenced items and opportunities for feedback from users
