The Family Technology Support Manager plays a critical role in providing support and assistance to students and parents by ensuring access to all educational systems and platforms.

This includes facilitating student and parent access to the Student Portal, Parent Portal Contact Access, Schoology, Clever, and other educational software while providing excellent customer service, and attending school events.

The Family Support Manager also manages the Class Platform and Google Access for students.


This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40 hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8-4 or as defined by the school.

Rate :
$65,000 - $75,000/yr


Essential Functions

  • Facilitate student access to the Student Portal, ensuring all necessary resources and information are available.
  • Assist parents in accessing the Parent Portal Contact Access to stay informed about their child's educational progress.
  • Coordinate student access and troubleshoot issues related to Schoology, Clever, and other educational software.
  • Manage and maintain the Class Platform, ensuring students and parents can easily access course materials and assignments.
  • Collaborate with the Strong Start team and other departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new students and families.
  • Attend school events to provide support, training and assistance to families.
  • Provide exemplary customer service by promptly addressing queries, concerns, and technical issues raised by students and parents.
  • Respond promptly to student and families inquiries while maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward students and families at all times
  • Supervise and manage a team of up to six Family Support Specialists, providing guidance, training, and support as necessary.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of systems and processes related to family support, suggesting improvements when necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position manages a team of 36 Family Support Specialists

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience in a K12 education setting OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum Required Skill Set

  • Strong understanding of educational systems and platforms, such as student portals, learning management systems, and educational software
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Experience as a customer support specialist or similar customer service role
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities Great organizational and time management skills
  • Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
  • Demonstrated competencies with general technology, Microsoft Office Platforms (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, etc.), Google Platforms, Zoom, etc.
  • All clearances and background checks as required to work in a Pennsylvania public school

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
  • Previous experience supervising a team
