Department Description
:

Treehaven is a residential education and research conference facility that is a part of the College of Natural Resources.

It is located between Rhinelander and Tomahawk, WI, resting on a glacial ridge overlooking 1,400 acres of forest and wetlands.

The College of Natural Resources has approximately 1500 undergraduates, 40 graduate students, and over 130 faculty and staff.

The College supports premier undergraduate natural resources programs with disciplines in Fisheries and Water Resources, Forestry, Human Dimensions of Natural Resource Management, Soil and Waste Resources, Wildlife Ecology, and the Department of Paper Science and Chemical Engineering.

JOB DETAILS:

Position Summary
:

The Treehaven Outreach Specialist will deliver and assist with planning outreach program activities, strengthen partnerships, ensure adherence to policy, and assist with program administration to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community.

They will also strive to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications
Demonstrated ability in teaching and program development in an outdoor setting

Customer service experience

Ability to work independently.

Possess excellent organizational skills and strong public speaking skills

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in areas including environmental education/interpretation, team building, canoeing/kayaking, interpretive hikes, stream study, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and outdoor skills.

Ability to be a team player and work with other departments in a cooperative manner
