Join our team as a Member Service Representative

CA Salary Range:
$ $34.74 per hour.


Location:
Santa Barbara. Hybrid schedule, 2 days in-office per week.


Job Summary:


As a Member Services Representative (MSR) at CenCal Health, you will be the frontline advocate for our members, assisting them with navigating and understanding their healthcare benefits.

Your responsibilities will include providing support to members with complex needs, facilitating communication between members and providers, and ensuring seamless coordination of services.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide comprehensive customer service to CenCal Health members, assisting with various healthcarerelated inquiries and concerns.
  • Advocate for members in obtaining necessary services, such as appointments, transportation, and interpreter services.
  • Document and resolve member complaints and appeals, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service levels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to address member needs effectively.
  • Educate members on program benefits and make referrals to relevant community resources.
  • Assist with authorizations and coordination of healthcare services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support members with utilizing the member portal and resolving web inquiries.

Qualifications:


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Knowledge of CenCal Health and the Medi-Cal program preferred.
  • Good judgment and problemsolving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education & Experience:


Required:


  • Administrative experience in healthcare, human services, or public assistance.

Preferred:


  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Pay:
$ $34.74 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
