Position Summary:

Contingent upon contract award

Odyssey is looking for a
Molecular Research Technician IV to support the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) Multi-drug resistant organism Repository and Surveillance Network (MRSN) by providing in real-time surveillance of Multi-drug resistant (MDR) bacteria and outbreak investigation assistance across the entire Military Healthcare System (MHS).

Responsibilities:

Contingent upon contract award

Duties include, but not limited to:

Ability to manage a high-throughput sequencing laboratory focused on bacterial genetics.
Extensive knowledge of bacterial genetics and experience with modern molecular laboratory protocols for the manipulation of bacteria
Extensive experience troubleshooting DNA extraction and DNA sequencing library preparation kits and protocols.
Extensive knowledge of current long and short read NGS platforms and their associated reagents and protocols
Extensive experience in the operation of liquid handlers

BS
