- Sole owner of the site 'Process Quality Management System'. Responsible to develop and maintain all aspects of this system ensuring quality of finished product produced and raw materials used.
- Develop and implement new processes to improve product quality and through quality tools, and procedures.
- Develop and lead 'Proactive Quality Control Plans' used in gap analysis and troubleshooting.
- Champion 'Root Cause Analysis (RCA)' for process quality at site and put 'Corrective Actions' in place for all process quality related issues arising from daily production and through customer issues.
- Analyze process data historian to troubleshoot and respond to product quality issues.
- Manage site non-conforming finished products and raw material, with re-testing as required.
- Standardize, train, and support Production Operators on quality work practices and procedures.
- Provide primary support for all chemistry/quality related manufacturing issues; act as liaison between R&D, Technical Service, Marketing & Sales, and Production.
- Point person at site for interacting with customers on issues with product performance.
- Conduct routine and non-routine QC auditing to ensure accuracy and repeatability of testing
- Maintain all lab supplies required for lab and production QC testing
- B.S. in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering/Management experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility.
- On-call for Process Quality related production issues.
- Experience working with continuous and batch processes; Paper, Tissue, Non-Woven, Coating, Engineered Wood/Panels, Printing, or Chemical processes a plus.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt.
