Brief Summary of Job Duties:
Reporting to the Senior Budget & Finance Analyst in the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor (EVC), is responsible for budget and financial management, analysis, and reporting for the Division of Academic Affairs.
Responsibilities include financial analysis, reporting, and tracking; maintaining and initiating financial and operations databases; general ledger reconciliation; and preparing and processing a wide variety of financial and budgetary transactions.
As part of the EVC Financial Team, serves as a control point resource to units within Academic Affairs for financial and budgetary activities.
Provides analytical and project support for a wide range of topics. Responsible for the complex tracking and management of financial commitments related to faculty recruitment. As a representative of the EVC Office, exhibits the highest degree of professionalism and discretion.Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Experience working in accounting, finance, or related field. (P2 Level 13 years; P3 Level 3+ years)
- Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to multitask in a highvolume environment, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making.
- Ability to function effectively as a member of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Requires strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and follow through.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a college or university setting. (P2 Level 13 years; P3 Level 3+ years)
- Experience working in budget and/or financial analysis. (P2 Level 13 years; P3 Level 3+ years)
- Working knowledge of campus financial systems including: Transfer of Funds, Data Warehouse.

Budget & Financial Management, Analysis, & Reporting - 60%
Financial Services Analyst 2 (Intermediate): Responsible for finance and budget administration for the division. Ensures sound budgetary principles are applied, and accounting and reporting systems exist, to provide required financial reports and data. Establishes and evaluates control practices ensuring that campus, university, and audit policies and procedures are met.
Develops and implements effective procedures for management of the budget using Online General Ledger, Data Warehouse, Espresso suite, Excel, and other campus data resources.
