    Our Direct Marketing Agents canvass neighborhoods in our territory as a unified team of representatives. They work together and support one another as they strive to meet both shared and individual goals and set qualified appointments for our in-home Design Consultants. Canvassers play a pivotal role in our company's success with the power to set the tone for our customer relationships by applying their skillful communication tactics to honestly and authentically build trust and show care for the unique needs and preferences of each prospect. They are an emissary of the company, bringing our solutions directly to consumers and setting the expectation for how Renewal by Andersen respects the honor of being welcomed into our customer's homes. In these conversations, they demonstrate their knowledge and expertise to adeptly address concerns, highlight benefits, and provide relevant information. Customer service and sales skills like conversational agility empower our agents to adapt their approach and deliver tailored solutions based on the responses they receive. Resilience in the face of potential rejection and the ability to maintain professional enthusiasm in any situation are essential characteristics to their success. Core competencies include communication, planning and organization, relationship building integrity, teamwork, and adaptability.

    Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for the following:

    • Providing Signature Service to any and all people encountered as an agent of Renewal by Andersen including coworkers, customers.
    • Ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures
    • Maintaining a healthy team culture by engaging in the WhatsApp conversation, supporting team members, and offering help where needed
    • Demonstrating integrity in all interactions with team members, office staff, and homeowners
    • Meeting set goals as outlined by management
    • Maintaining a safe and productive environment in both the office and the field
    • Making sure to have all the necessary equipment daily
    • Meeting uniform and hygiene requirements
    • Keeping the Canvassing work area clean, including the company vehicle while in use
    • Utilizing continuous improvement and training opportunities
    • Engaging in training methods like role-playing activities to improve interactions with homeowners
    • Utilizing all performance management tools and processes offered by RBA Sacramento
    • Meeting attendance and performance expectations
    • Providing Signature Service in accordance with Renewal by Andersen standards
    • Performing any other related, unrelated, unassigned, unspecified, out of the ordinary or special duties assigned

    Below are actions and indicators which reflect effective Signature Service:

    • Maintaining a safe and productive environment for yourself and the team
    • Achieving a minimum of 10 appointments and 5 demos per pay period
    • Setting successful appointments by:
    • Following and memorizing our scripting practices
    • Actively participating during in-field and classroom trainings
    • Always conducting yourself in a professional manner
    • Achieving a successful demo rate of 78% which is qualified as:
    • Confirming need for window/door replacement with installation of 3 plus units
    • Setting the expectation for a 60-90-minute consultation
    • Ensuring that all homeowners will be present for consultation
    • Ensuring that all company timelines and policies are upheld
    • Making sure that personal lunch and Knock timelines are being met
    • Providing effective communication with both your internal teams, leadership, and the public
    • Reinforcing and contributing to a positive team culture by:
    • Communicating areas of growth regularly with your team lead and Direct Marketing Leadership
    • Encouraging an exciting, inclusive, and determined atmosphere
    • Ensuring privileged and/or confidential information is protected and that you do your part in ensuring our organization's security remains uncompromised
    • Participate in individual performance reviews.
    • Maintain an open and positive mindset for professional growth and development.

    Compensation

    Compensation includes an hourly wage of $21/hour, eligibility for demo bonuses, and commission on sales per the Direct Marketing Agent Compensation Agreement. Renewal by Andersen reserves the right to amend this compensation structure.

    Requirements:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • 6 months of canvassing, sales, or marketing experience
    • Must be highly organized and intrinsically motivated
    • Proven ability to set and achieve daily goals
    • Working knowledge of hand and power tools
    • Personable demeanor and friendly attitude
    • Ability to develop rapport with the team and prospective homeowners
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Tendency to embrace challenge with a resilient mindset
    • Possession of a valid and active driver's license with an insurable driving record per company standards
    • To drive an RBA or personal vehicle employees are required to hold a driver's license and current auto insurance as required by law, be an approved driver by RBA's insurance, and provide copies to the Human Resource department
    • Willingness to reasonably withstand the elements throughout each season
    • This job will have you working in the field, in a variety of weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain and wind. It is important that you observe all safety protocols and protect yourself and team members during the workday.
    • There may be times where due to weather field work may be called off. This will be decided at the discretion of the Non-Traditional Marketing Manager and will be communicated to the team before the start of the workday. In these instances, alternative work such as training or role playing may be done in lieu of field work.

The work environment can vary significantly, and candidates should be prepared for the following conditions: indoor and outdoor environments, travel via automobile, variable hours, and changing locations.
