Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join their esteemed team in New York. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in handling a wide range of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, regulatory investigations, and white-collar defence. With a focus on delivering strategic advice and effective advocacy, the Litigation Associate will work closely with partners and clients to achieve favourable outcomes in complex legal disputes.
Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy and case preparation.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for court filings and submissions.
Assist in all aspects of the discovery process, including document review, preparation of discovery requests and responses, and deposition preparation.
Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
Manage case files, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines.
Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop and implement litigation strategy and tactics.
Qualifications:
Qualified attorney admitted to practice law in New York.
Strong academic background, with a law degree from a reputable institution.
Experience in litigation practice, with a focus on commercial litigation preferred.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
