    Job DescriptionSalary:

    Position Overview:Geokey is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position will report directly to the Controller and play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, inventory, and interactions with the sales team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in accounting practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Financial Reporting: Manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
    • Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Inventory Manager to maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
    • Amortization and Categorization: Properly amortize license fees and categorize one-time fees, such as hardware sales, to ensure correct financial reporting.
    • Sales Team Collaboration: Work directly with the sales team to provide necessary financial insights and support sales planning and reporting.
    • Budget Coordination: Assist the Controller and department heads in preparing and managing departmental budgets.
    • Year-End Financial Tasks: Compile necessary data and assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and tax filings.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a staff accountant or in a similar role.
    • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
    • Excellent analysis skills with an attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively with team members across various departments.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
