    Job Description
    Project Buyer

    ( 21000DF3 )
    As the Project Buyer, you will represent the Purchasing department within the new projects platform teams and plant.

    Coordinate and participate in supplier selection for the new projects that fully meets Valeos criteria in terms of technology level, cost, service and adequacy to Valeos program time frames.

    Promote participation of the selected suppliers in the project development beginning with the initial phase taking into account product and process designs versus suppliers technical constrains.

    Ensure that all integrated parts will meet the quality, cost and delivery requirements. You will minimize the risks related to project development.

    • You influence product design and specification through purchasing expertise
    :

    Establish target cost and determine main component costs; Contribute to standardization activities; Organize vendor quotes from selected suppliers

    • You contribute to product development
    :

    Develop prototypes through selected production suppliers; Promote suppliers integration in initial project phases; Coordinate all purchasing actions and activities related to specific projects

    • You participate and contribute in new business quotations (CAA)

    You have a Bachelors Degree.

    • You have a minimum of 4 years of purchasing experience.
    • Experience in project product development

    • You have automotive or manufacturing purchasing experience preferred.
    • Engineering background is preferred.
