Description:
An Associate Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist position focused on data science and process modeling is available within the Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) team at the company.
This role will support a larger team of scientists and engineers across multiple sites focused on the company's portfolio of late-stage development and commercial biopharmaceuticals and vaccines.
The position will collaborate with the company's Global Supply organization in conjunction with the Bioprocess R&D organization to develop multivariate data analyses, machine learning models, mechanistic models, and simulations for the characterization of bioprocesses and operations at multiple scales.
The selected candidate will be tasked with building models for operations and processes worldwide, conducting computational modeling and simulation studies, enabling detailed visualization and understanding of the process portfolio across various scales and operating conditions.
Moreover, the candidate will work on digital twin initiatives as a subject matter expert, ensuring that modeling projects align with the needs of the company's operations.
There will also be involvement in innovation and technology development projects focusing on mechanistic modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to enhance production processes, aiming to boost process performance and robustness.
