The Requirements

  • Research and input electronic and hardcopy requests into databases by scanning and keyboarding. It will require the digitization (scan and index) of hardcopy requests into IRIS.
  • Resolve request issues as annotated; modify requested data as necessary; conduct a quality control review of already scanned material in IRIS at a rate of 150 pages per hour (rescanning the applicable pages); and accurately index scanned and qualitycontrolled material into IRIS.
  • Handle all office mail deliveries and receipts, including classified mail.
  • Receive and process requests for U.S. Army intelligence and investigative records. This includes validating incoming requests [e.g. Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII) File Demands] for Army records in accordance with the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other applicable policies and returning invalid requests to the appropriate agency.
  • File and manage physical case storage and retention according to the ARIMS (Army Records Information Management System).
  • Provide Support to digitization of hard copy records USAISRR.
  • Provide initial reviews on records for disposition (archiving, continued retention, retirement to National Archives & Records Administration (NARA), or destruction.
  • Process classified materials for accession into the USAISRR.
  • Prepare and conduct mail preparation.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • 24 years of experience in data entry and/or administrative experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with military officials, managers, and subordinates.

Additional Requirements

  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
