Responsibilities of a surveying technician:
Conducting land and elevation surveys in the field.
Processing and visualizing measurement data in plans and 3D models.
Digitally calculating areas and volumes for construction project billing.
Transferring planning data using modern surveying instruments to the site (staking out).Preparing 3D models for controlling construction machinery.
Planning and conducting technical surveys.
Qualifications:
High school diplomaAttention to detail and accuracy (e.g. when reading and documenting measurement results)
Spatial visualization and drawing skills (e.g. when creating plans on the computer or making hand sketches on the construction site)Manual dexterity (e.g.
when operating surveying instruments or marking survey points)Interest in working with numbers and proficiency with digital mediaWork takes place both in the office and outdoors on construction sites, so being "weatherproof" is importantSchool subjects:
