- Delivers interactive training sessions and encourages learner involvement and application utilizing a variety of online and classroom environments for skills based training primarily in lending banking roles (i.e. lender, lending assistant, credit analyst, special assets, etc).
- Develops or obtains packaged training materials, purchases and implements new employee training programs and assists Training Manager in designing and conducting management training sessions.
- Prepares the training facility, materials, learning aides, equipment, and remote delivery methods as necessary.
- Creates and communicates training schedules with employees and managers.
- Updates and maintains employee training records.
- Utilizes feedback to evaluate training programs' effectiveness, identifies training gaps, and recommends revisions to training curriculum, design, delivery methods, and the development of new programs.
- Maintains current knowledge of updated company products/services, management needs, and emerging training methods and technologies.
- Promotes the organization's philosophy and values; ensures quality in all areas; and encourages teamwork by coaching and providing support in the department and throughout the organization.
- Travels to facilitate training in other locations, as needed.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 2+ years banking experience working as a teller and customer service representative (i.e. opening new accounts). Previous supervisory or training experience strongly preferred.
- Must have good knowledge of banking systems, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of the principles, training methods, and techniques used in adult education strongly preferred.
- Ability to express ideas clearly, confidently, and effectively in both verbal and written communication to managers and employees.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information in a user friendly manner.
- Excellent PC skills, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Publisher, and database software. Knowledge of MS SharePoint is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, public speaking and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgment.
- Must have the ability to travel, as needed.
