Throughout the past two years, like many campuses across the country, our clubs and organizations have declined in numbers, or have just disappeared.
The reduced number of students attending in person, the absence of the club fairs/opportunities for first and second year students to engage, and social distancing mandates, have all been factors.

Job Summary
Under general direction of the Director of Campus Life Programming, the Campus Life Campus Life Clubs and Programming Advisor serves as the primary advisor providing comprehensive advising and leadership to 100+ student clubs/organizations, students and advisors.
This position creates, initiates and implements social/educational programming and activities for student organizations; provides oversight in the planning and implementation of emerging leader programs, awards and activities for student organizations; provides training and oversight to on-campus special events and activities pertaining to student organizations; assists in the assessment efforts of the center and the greater student life offerings; interprets University Policy applicable to student organizations; serves as a liaison between the University and student organizations; participates in the planning of social and educational programming sponsored by student Involvement and various campus partners; and serves as a port of the comprehensive campus life team.
In addition, this position assists in the development efforts related to emerging leaders, programming and other student Involvement initiatives.Key Qualifications
This position requires the equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a related field, including upper division or graduate coursework in counseling techniques, interviewing, and conflict resolution where such are job-related.
A master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a directly related field may be substituted for one year of work experience.
Possession of these knowledge and abilities is typically demonstrated through the equivalent of three years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience.
At least one year experience with General Clubs/Organizations, or related field highly preferred. Knowledge and experience working with and advising student-led leadership development programs highly preferred. Knowledge and understanding of student development theory and student personnel administration highly preferred.Salary and Benefits
Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $4,691 to $4,879 a month.
This is a full time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave.
