    Title: Data Development Engineer
    Location: Hybrid – Charlotte, NC
    Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire
    Compensation: $50-$60/hr
    Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

    Data Development Engineer
    Skillset / Experience:
    We are seeking an Integration Developer (DataDevelopment Engineer III) to build and enhance data services for use in enterprise integration scenarios. This position will be expected to actively participate in the technical design and development of these services in the form of APIs, data pipelines, etc. This position will be responsible for developing and troubleshooting integration solutions to meet the business needs.
    Responsibilities:
    • Leverages integration knowledge to develop efficient data movement across all solutions.
    • Enables new APIs and enhances and configures existing APIs.
    • Writes code in lower-level (C#, .Net, SQL, SSIS, JavaScript) programming languages to optimize the performance and efficiency of the organization's IT platform/infrastructure.
    • Writes diagnostic programs to test integrated software/hardware systems and resolve system faults to indicate that program is not functioning properly or meeting the technical/functional requirements.
    • Proactively monitors the system/integrations for long running queries/jobs, identify bottle necks and propose solutions to optimize queries/jobs.
    • Creates technical documentation of systems, software programs, and code to be leveraged for audit purposes and document solution.
    Background Profile:
    • 4+ years of Development Engineer experience Tools (Visual Studio, VS Code, SSIS), Frameworks (.NET/C#, JavaScript, etc.) and best practices
    • 3+ years of integration experience using ETL tools.
    • 3+ years of experience as a .NET Developer using SQL
    • Good understanding of SQL databases including querying, creating tables, and the basics of performance tuning such as creating indexes.
    • Experience with RESTful API design concepts with a strong preference for resource-centric design.
    • Understanding of API-First design principles, and familiarity with the Open API Specification (OAS/Swagger 2.0)
    • Experience with API Gateway and API Management concepts and platforms
    • Understanding of the authentication and authorization considerations related to data and integration (i.e. oAuth, JWT, least-privilege, etc.)
    • Strong understanding of integration types, frequency, and consistency considerations (i.e. real-time, near-real time, batch, eventual consistency, file-based, event-based, ETL/ELT, API, sFTP, etc.)
    • 1-3 years of SDLC and CI/CD experience Tools, Frameworks, and best practices
    • 1-3 years of MS Azure (strongly preferred) or other cloud computing provider experience
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
    Desired Experience:
    • Experience with messaging and queues, pub-sub patterns, and event-driven concepts
    • Understanding of API Testing methodologies and toolsets such as ReadyAPI, LoadUI, Postman, Dredd, or other API governance and testing tools
    • Familiarity with building reports with Tableau, SSRS, or Power BI
    • Understanding of monitoring and logging requirements of distributed systems and services
    • Exposure to Snowflake, SAP/HANA, or other data warehousing concepts
