- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the warehousing and fulfillment operations.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality products/services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance and receipt of goods/services.
- Monitor supplier performance, address any issues or concerns, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular supplier assessments and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to optimize procurement processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Create a detailed filing system for all procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present reports, metrics, and analysis related to procurement activities.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and techniques.
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software/systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Three years of experience in procurement, preferably within the warehousing and fulfillment industry.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
