    PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF SPECIALIZED DAY SUPPORTS - The Arc of Opportunity - Fitchburg, MA

    Full Time

    Salary: 46,467 (USD) Annually

    The Program Director is responsible for developing programming for Brain Injury supports.

    This position will also offer support to our existing and expanding families across the lifespan of the individual ensuring that the needs and desires of families are met.

    The Program Director will work closely with the Division Director to create more awareness, services and understanding of the families impacted.

    Will collaborate with other community partners to develop resources, create solutions and help build the program through available funding and marketing efforts.


    Essential Functions:
    Oversee general maintenance and development of program operations.
    Develop, coordinate and deliver programming across service lines and organization.
    Monitor compliance with all applicable state, local and federal regulations, professional standards, certifications and accreditations.
    Responsible for program development, evaluation, quality assurance, monitoring client progress, modifications and data collection.
    Provide initial assessment and determination of needs.

    Participate in the development and execution of business plans for the development and expansion of Autism and Brain Injury services.

    Prepare and facilitate trainings for staff working with either population.
    Ensure collaboration between internal departments and external community partners.
    Participate in advocacy and community awareness events to inform persons served and interested parties.
    Attend trainings to remain current on trends in field.
    Marketing and collaboration skills to access funding.
    Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to agency mission and fundamental values.
    Promote the mission and fundamental values of The Arc of Opportunity through effective leadership.
    Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.

    Physical Requirements:
    Ability to physically assist individuals according to their needs.
    Ability to sustain periods of walking, standing, sitting.
    Ability to complete and implement physical training requirements, determined by The Arc of Opportunity.

    Mental Requirements :
    Demonstrated superior communication skills, both in verbal and written English.
    Ability to work independently.
    Demonstrated skills in conciliation, leadership, supervision, teamwork and training.
    Demonstrated ability to strategize, analyze, evaluate and plan.

    Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
    Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Special Education or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
    Minimum 3 years of solid experience working with people with Autism Spectrum, Brain Injury, Mental Health, and/or Substance Abuse.
    Experience in program development required.
    Experience in training and program oversight.
    Innovation with marketing and/or program development.
    A valid driver's license and acceptable CORI/Fingerprinting are required.
