    Aegis Worldwide is seeking an Applications Design Engineer to support an injection molding manufacturer in Wisconsin. We are seeking someone with injection molding design experience preferably in the metal/ industrial machining space.

    Responsibilties


    Responsible for the development of a superior business relationship with all customer's engineering and technical teams and the commercial sales organization.

    Provides detailed manufacturing cost structures for use in developing company pricing quotations to customers.


    Assist customers with their application designs so they can be effectively produced by Metal Injection Molding and 3D metal printing.

    Develops and designs complex injection molds for producing metal injection molding components.

    Coordinates all print changes between customers and the company (new programs and current production).

    Coordinates the manufacturing and delivery of all engineering and prototype samples.

    Coordinates all new products with product/process and quality engineers

    Supports the development of new materials with the Materials Technology Team for existing customers and new customer market opportunities.

    Coordinates internal resources to develop proposed process flow and associated rates for quote purposes.

    Represents the Company in technical/engineering discussions with customers.

    Provides Technical/Engineering product information to existing and potential customers.

    Qualifications

    4+ years of application and injection mold design experience.

    Metal Injection mold design experience

    Concepts involving complex parting lines, slides, unscrewing and collapsible cores, and the integration of automated part handling.

    Experience with CAD Solid Model

    Experience with GD&T

    Experience quoting for parts and tooling

    Ability to read blueprints & schematics

    Excels in a customer-facing position

    Data-driven mindset in identifying and prioritizing opportunities and issues.
