    Finance Manager

    International Relations Nonprofit

    Washington, D.C. Area (Hybrid)

    Salary: $85,000, with potential flexibility based on experience

    Terrific Finance Manager role with an international development nonprofit. The position will be responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of grant funded projects. Responsibilities will include financial reporting & analysis, budgets, audits, compliance, and cost proposals. The position will work closely with the Programs team and grantees to ensure proper award implementation, compliance, and ongoing financial management.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manage financial reporting & analysis, budgets, awards management, and compliance for a portfolio of grants
    • Collaborate extensively with colleagues in-country on various grant matters
    • Develop donor and budget reports
    • Ensure timely completion of all deliverables
    • Manage grant awards, including donor agreements
    • Oversee compliance and apply donor rules and regulations
    • Provide mentorship to sub-award grantees on financial management and compliance
    • Travel internationally, as needed
    Qualifications:
    • Approximately 3-5+ years relevant finance, grants, and contracts experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master's degree a plus
    • Strong Excel experience, plus experience with financial management tools
    • Knowledge of GAAP
    • Bilingual French, Spanish, or Arabic is a plus, Spanish is preferred
    • Ability to explain complex financial topics to various audiences, including non-English speakers and non-finance staff
    • Experience with USAID or other large US government funders
    • Ability to travel internationally, as needed
