***: As a Yard Material handler main responsibility will include but are not limited to assisting loaders to arrange pallets prior to shipping, band and secure ready to ship Finished goods, maintaining daily housekeeping in the loading and staging area. They will also control and monitor consumables in their area and report daily discrepancies and counts to shipping and receiving lead.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Load & Unload consumables and recyclable products, LTL shipments and any other related goods for the Manufacturing facility.
  • Perform and sustain equipment daily inspections (if assigned). Forklifts, banding machines, banding carts, etc.
  • Assist loaders prepping product to meet the safety loading guideline.
  • Assist and participate in Physical Inventory as needed.
  • Perform material handling activities such as counting, banding and labeling product as needed.
  • Manipulate and maintain all power tools needed to perform their daily task such as
:

banding machines, banding cart, etc.

  • Operate Forklift to empty hoppers and trash cans.
  • Repair fabric rolls as needed and indicated by production.
  • Assist Housekeeping in other department areas as needed.

Requirements:


NECESSARY SKILLS, BACKGROUND & COMPENTENCIES:


  • Material Handling experience preferred.
  • Power equipment experience Required.
  • Interpersonal skills

  • Reliable and punctual.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:


  • High school degree or equivalent
