About the opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Director of Security Engineering (all genders) to join our Security Engineering team in South Holland, IL.

In this role, you will support the global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in implementing a multi-year security strategy for our organization.

Your team's mission is to enhance security standards across all engineering disciplines and utilize engineering as a force to scale security.

Your responsibilities include developing and implementing the Delivery Hero security strategy, with a focus on automation, self-service, and infrastructure as code.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to establish trusting partnerships and promote transparency and data-driven decisions. Your leadership will inspire your teams and stakeholders, breaking down silos and promoting collaboration.

As a thought leader for the security teams, you will ensure their roadmaps align with the overall security mission. You will also be responsible for attracting, retaining, and coaching talent to build high-performing teams.

This role presents a unique opportunity for transformation, requiring passion, vision, strategic planning, and decisiveness.

You will work closely with the security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team to integrate risk and security control management into engineering processes.

Your mission:

Develop and promote a longterm security engineering strategy that supports the broader Tech team
Build and coach security engineering teams across the Delivery Hero group
Collaborate with the GRC teams to integrate risk and security control management into engineering principles
Act as a thought leader for security engineering, creating policies and standards
