- Assist Senior leadership on the implementation of projects for additional service locations to meet the growth and needs of the company.
- Establishes and maintains pickup and delivery assignments with Carriers.
- Ensures Carriers pickup and deliver shipments from service locations according to standards and addresses service failures to protect service levels to maintain overall performance within the network.
- Assist Senior leadership by recording service issues for vendor evaluations and trend identification. Analyze the data and make recommendations to these leaders to determine necessary corrective action to be taken.
- Conducts weekly conference calls with all Carriers and drives corrective action plans and accountability with those who are not achieving minimum performance standards.
- Recommends appropriate Carrier changes, when necessary, based on performance. Communicate these needs through the chain of command for review and possible implementation.
- Partner with senior business leaders across departments to analyze our existing processes and identify opportunities to improve and optimize current operations.
- Analyzes, identifies, and reports on performance and density issues that can negatively impact network performance and costs.
- Provide carrier selection input to the Line haul group and assume line haul schedule responsibility for the region to ensure cycle time goals are met.
- Monitor shrink and provide support to the Pitney Bowes Security team and local chain of command for investigation needs.
- Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 1-2 years of experience related to transportation and or customer service.
- Candidate must demonstrate a knowledge of ground transportation services and providers.
- High degree of coordination, planning and organization skills.
- Able to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment, interact with all levels of the Pitney Bowes team members and develop relationships with both internal Pitney Bowes contacts and external vendors.
- Able to manage and enforce Pitney Bowes standards of service with Carriers and vendors while maintaining strong, positive relationships with all.
- Able to be flexible in scheduling and hours of work in order to support any transportation related incidents or unexpected client needs.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products specifically Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
