    Event Manager for Los Angeles flagship restaurant
    Flagship Restaurant for high profile brand seeks Los Angeles based Event Manager

    Los Angeles based restaurant is seeking an Event Manager to join its team. Our guests range from local friends and out of town guests to high profile clientele and entertainment executives.

    The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy and excel at managing varied expectations of this wide range of client-base and being able to curate one-of-a-kind events for them.


    Our event offerings are straight-forward, but our level of service and communication is a concierge style effort, and our clients expect individual and personal communication and offerings.

    Efficiency and self-direction is important for this role.


    An ideal candidate will enjoy being the backbone behind high profile and valued guests having an experience they'll never forget.

    A high level of discretion and sincere desire to help individuals make memories is critical to the success of this position.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Build and nurture relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
    • Act as the main point of contact for event inquiries by respond to all event leads in a timely manner with restaurant offerings. Work with each potential client to ensure the restaurant can offer a superior experience that meets their needs and collaborate closely with clients to customize experiences where possible.
    • Skillfully present offerings in a manner which secures events in favorable terms for both the client and the restaurant that are attentive to the brand value and profitability.
    • Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and staff, albeit on the phone, via text, by email, and in person. Communication should be friendly, without being overly casual and should be efficient by including all relevant details in a concise manner.
    • Work with all related vendors to coordinate and execute any auxiliary items such as equipment or furniture rentals, entertainment, or auxiliary staff.
    • Conduct site checks, provide venue tours, and attend client meetings with both existing and potential clients.
    • Create contracts, BEO's, staff schedules, and all related documents necessary to ensure clarity for the team and the client.
    • Ensure all event related details are internally processed, kept current, and communicated to the various internal and external teams.
    • Work closely with leadership, hospitality, and culinary teams to develop and execute events that offer specialized service to the client while maximizing existing offerings and processes.
    • Oversee the flawless execution of events, working in collaboration with operations teams to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for clients and guests.
    • Ensure all event deposits, payments, and ivoice are secured and processed within company standards, and that all related vendor payments are reconciled.
    • Ensure all team members, vendors and related expenses to each event are paid in according to Company policies or regulations, requirements, and terms and that all necessary records are kept and provided to administration team for reconciliation.
    • Manage all aspects of event inventory needs.
    • Drive revenue by proactively identifying and securing new event opportunities.

    Preferred skills:

    • At least 3 years in event coordinating or event management with ideal candidates having additional restaurant or hospitality experience.
    • Experience (in any related field) dealing with highprofile clientele and a proven record of success, discretion, and professionalism.
    • Computer and technology skills or ability; include POS systems, reservation systems, email etiquette, Word, Gmail, and ability to scan or send data electronically.
    • Preferred, but not required, experience with Tripleseat and Opentable systems.
    • Strong attention to details.
    • Strong organizational skills with a systematic approach to project management.
    • Ability to react timely and professionally.
    • Excellent communication skills; verbally and written.
    • Calm, professional, demeanor.
    • Experience managing small teams or groups of individuals is a plus.
    • Collaborative skills to work closely with internal teams and clients in an effective and efficient manner.
    • A desire for continuous growth and learning through handson experience.
    • Ability to work under selfsupervision and complete tasks in a timely manner and identify and communicate when additional support or guidance is necessary.

    Compensation:
    Base salary; $65,000 – $85,000 annually + quarterly bonuses / commission for closed events
