    DFM is a local firm specializing in providing streamlined consulting services to the Real Estate Development and AEC industry. Embrace the opportunity to be part of an innovative workplace that celebrates your skills and tackles challenges head-on.

    We are expanding our team to enhance client service and are looking for a full-time, driven Business Development Manager to join our Business Development team. Collaborating closely with our Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for identifying and seizing new business prospects, formulating sales strategies, demonstrating strong communication and networking abilities, and maintaining a results-oriented approach.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Initiate new opportunities and engage with potential clients
    • Educate the real estate development sector about our distinctive consulting services
    • Participate in industry events within the Metro DC region and arrange meetings with clients as required to explore specific opportunities
    • Enter potential client leads into our CRM system
    • Monitor major projects in the planning stage to establish early involvement possibilities as projects advance
    • Collaborate with Team Leads, Marketing Manager, and Proposals team to oversee the complete sales cycle
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Marketing, Business, or a related field (e.g. engineering or architecture)
    • 3-5 years of experience in real estate development or a related field, or working directly for a construction developer
    • Customer-centric focus and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting
    • Self-motivated, outgoing, and diligent with a commitment to meeting and surpassing objectives
    • Capable of collaborating effectively with all team levels and departments
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    • Preferably, experience working for a development firm and in B2B Service Business Development
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
    • Tenacious, persistent, and effective in approach
    • Willingness to learn about the real estate consulting industry and associated terms and processes
