    Job DescriptionJob Title: Lab TechnicianLocation: East Hanover, NJDuration: Contract

    Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, and a background in laboratory settings. The primary responsibilities will include unpacking shippers, handling product recycling, and preparing samples for analytical testing. Additionally, the candidate will provide support for quality improvement launches, bench prototyping experiments, and pilot plant trials.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Utilize Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word, to document and track laboratory activities.
    2. Handle the unpacking of shippers and manage product recycling processes efficiently.
    3. Prepare samples and materials for analytical testing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
    4. Collaborate with the team to support quality improvement launches, providing assistance as needed.
    5. Conduct bench prototyping experiments under the supervision of senior staff.
    6. Assist in pilot plant trials, including setup, monitoring, and data collection.
    7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace to ensure compliance with safety standards.
    8. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols for all laboratory tasks.
    9. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and task completion.
    10. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the laboratory team.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
    • Proven experience working in a laboratory setting is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Willingness to learn new techniques and procedures.
    • Familiarity with quality control processes and protocols is a plus.
