- Conduct daily meetings with project crews to review the production schedule and confirm the availability of materials, equipment, and resources for seamless production within the established budget and timeline.
- Collect, coordinate, and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements, and project data throughout the project duration to ensure adherence to quality and contract specifications.
- Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling, identifying potential risk factors related to production, materials, equipment, or processes that could impact the budget or schedule.
- Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to accurately track project performance. Document daily activities using approved methods and technologies.
- Notify team members and managers of any significant schedule changes and recommend solutions for management consideration.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by management.
- Ensure accurate project quantity input and controls by utilizing assigned project cost coding. Collaborate with Company finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting of project financials, including employee time, materials, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
- Review and approve daily timecards for all Company construction crews. Work closely with the Office Manager, payroll, and job construction supervisors to address any timecard inquiries.
- Review project specifications at various stages (beginning, during, and completion) to ensure quality assurance. Initiate and manage the necessary certificates, inspections, and construction production documentation on the project site.
- Collaborate with construction crews and engineering leaders to plan the field layout, ensuring proper marking of utility and commercial lines before commencing production. Initiate and manage any required permits.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for all construction personnel. Attend weekly safety meetings with the field team and project leadership, presenting field analysis as needed.
- Assist the estimating team with project schedules and provide technical input as necessary.
- Contribute to the development of design drawings, offering technical expertise as needed.
- Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews as required.
- Conduct a comprehensive job close-out checklist with the owner representative and field crews at the completion of the project.
- Maintain knowledge of the Company's values and strategic plan.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction engineering.
- Beginner knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, and relevant standards applicable to the project.
- Ability to assume responsibility, effectively interface and communicate with others.
- Excellent multitasking skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven self-starter with a strong motivation to learn and grow.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management.
- Construction engineering experience or knowledge is required.
